Short Curriculum Vitae of Professor Reinhard Rychlik, MA, MD, PhD, PhD

Professor Reinhard Rychlik (born 1952) studied social science and economics, psychology and medicine. He obtained PhD’s for both social economic science and medicine.

He was appointed executive positions in the pharmaceutical industry on national and international levels. He has been the Director of the Institute of Empirical Health Economics, since 1994.

He is a professor of health economics at the University of Bochum - Germany, Charles-University, Prague, Czech Republic and Temple University, Philadelphia, USA.

Professor Rychlik is the author, co-author and editor of several books, publications and journals and editor in chief of the journal “Gesundheitsökonomie & Qualitätsmanagement”.

Professor Rychlik is also a member of several national and international scientific societies and is a registered expert of health economics at the European Union. He is a member of the board of the German Society of Health Economics, member of the scientific board of the sickness fund DAK, expert of the G-BA and an expert of the German Bundestag (national parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany).
