The German Society for Health Economics (dggö)
The German Society for Health Economics (dggö) was founded on 17 October 2008 by 17 university professors. The Society serves to support scientific and research work, as well as scientific political consultation in the area of health economics.
The work of the Society also includes organising scientific functions and research projects and awarding prizes and honours. There is an annual meeting every spring.
The Society has taken on the task of publicly promulgating knowledge of health economics and of presenting this knowledge to parliaments and governments. The Society is in close contact with the relevant foreign and international scientific societies.
